#ClotChat 2023 Questions

Below are the questions slated for the World Thrombosis Day #ClotChat taking place on October 13th at 12 p.m. (US-ET) / 6 p.m. CEST. The focus of this chat will be a retrospective look of the influence of thrombosis awareness over the past decade. These questions have been curated to assist participants in their preparation, facilitating the sharing of their personal experiences and insights regarding the efforts to raise awareness about blood clots over the course of the last ten years.

  • Q1: World Thrombosis Day celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Let’s look back together: How many years have you or your organization supported the campaign and what is your favorite WTD memory or activity? Share photos or videos!
  • Q2: Education and patient empowerment are crucial in raising thrombosis awareness. How can healthcare providers, advocacy groups, and individuals work together to educate and support those at risk?
  • Q3: How have you seen thrombosis awareness, treatment and prevention evolve and improve in your community or country over the last 10 years as part of WTD efforts?
  • Q4: Over the decade, we’ve seen advancements in technology and innovation, such as computer-assisted vacuum thrombectomy. How has your experience been with these innovations? What developments are you most excited about? Share your insights!
  • Q5: The World Thrombosis Day campaign emphasizes the importance of early detection and timely intervention. What are some common signs and symptoms of thrombosis that individuals should be aware of?
  • Q6: Thrombosis can affect people of all ages and backgrounds. How can we ensure that awareness efforts reach diverse populations and communities effectively?
  • Q7: Are there any misconceptions or myths about thrombosis that need to be addressed? What steps can we take to debunk these misconceptions?
  • Q8: There is still more work to do. Looking ahead for thrombosis awareness and prevention, what are some of the greatest opportunities for improvement in the future? What would you like to see another 10 years from now?
